We are pleased to announce Oscar Oviedo-Trespalacios, Ph.D. from Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands) as a keynote speaker at the ICTCT Conference 2026.
Dr. Oviedo-Trespalacios is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Future of Mobility Program at TU Delft, with internationally recognised expertise in Human Factors Engineering, safety science, and responsible technology. His research explores how emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, influence human behaviour and may unintentionally undermine safety in real-world traffic environments. His work has contributed to policy and practice in areas such as driver distraction, behavioural adaptation, and the governance of intelligent transport systems.
In his keynote lecture, “Ethical and privacy issues in road safety in the age of AI,” he will address one of the most pressing challenges in contemporary road safety: how data-driven and AI-enabled systems reshape responsibility, behaviour, and risk. The lecture will offer critical insight into the ethical and privacy implications of AI in traffic systems and highlight the need for a more sociotechnical and value-sensitive approach to AI governance in road safety.
Join us in Zagreb for two days of discussion, knowledge exchange, and international perspectives on the future of road safety.
