The official language of the 38th ICTCT 2026 is English.

Passport and Visa

Croatia is a Member State of the European Union, and on 1 January 2023, it also became part of the Schengen area. Travellers from other Schengen countries do not have to show their identity card or passport when traveling to or from Croatia if they come from countries belonging to the Schengen area. However, we advise you to bring your passport or identity card with you nevertheless, in case you need to prove your identity.

A valid passport is required for non-EU citizens for entry into CROATIA and the European Union. An identity card is sufficient for citizens of EU member states. Please consult your consulate for details. Planning your trip and applying for a visa early is important, as visa applications are checked more strictly today than in the past. It is strongly recommended that all attendees contact their local embassy to determine the required travel documents.

If you need a visa to come to Croatia, please apply as soon as possible!

Letter of Invitation

The Organising Committee will send you a letter of invitation upon a separate request. The Organising Committee would like to clearly state that the letter is only to assist participants in obtaining a visa or in their efforts to raise travel funds.

The invitation letter does not imply any financial obligations on the part of the conferences towards participants.

Requiring an invitation letter for visa application purposes should request this during the registration process. Letters of invitation will not be issued without receiving the registration and payment of the required registration fees.

Should your visa application be declined, you can send a request for a full refund of the registration fees before September 18th 2026. A scanned copy of the rejection letter for a visa should be attached to your request for a refund.

For requests from September 18th 2026, the cancellation policy will apply.

Insurance

The registration fee does not include the participant’s insurance against accidents, sickness, cancellation, theft, property damage or loss.

Participants are advised to take out appropriate personal insurance.

Mobile phone manners

As a courtesy to other attendees, we ask you to behave appropriately when using mobile phones. When attending sessions, please turn off your mobile phone and other wireless communication devices or use the airplane mode. If you have to take a call, please leave the room so as not to disturb the event. Thank you for your cooperation!
